Joe Gim is Deputy Bureau Chief in the County Court Bureau of the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, and has been a prosecutor for over sixteen years. ADA Gim began his career in Staten Island as an Assistant District Attorney indicting and trying violent gang and other felony cases. As a Deputy Chief in Nassau County he manages and trains prosecutors to prosecute felony cases. During his time as an ADA in Richmond County, he prosecuted a hate crimes trial related to an incident that occurred at the first annual Gay Pride parade on Staten Island. ADA Gim has also prosecuted a robbery as a Hate Crime and also participated in other events related to bias incidents as it related to the APA community. ADA Gim is presently a co-chair of the Prosecutor’s Committee and was a former chair of the Issues Committee and long-time AABANY member and Fall Conference participant.
